Your hosts, The Hospital Association of South Africa
The Hospital Association of South Africa (HASA) is the representative body for the majority of private hospitals in South Africa. HASA members include stock exchange-listed hospital groups, Netcare, Life Healthcare, and Mediclinic and the non-listed independent hospital collective, the National Hospital Network.
Every year HASA hosts a world-class conference featuring a number of international and South African experts in healthcare. An exhibition runs simultaneously to showcase healthcare.
The 2019 conference takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on the city’s Foreshore.
This year’s delegate fees have been retained at 2018 rates to ensure the event is accessible to as wide a delegation as possible. The conference programme too, enhances accessibility to the conference, beginning at 12:00 (noon) on Monday, 26th August and ending at the same time on Wednesday, 28th August. The programme design ensures that traffic is less of a problem than would ordinarily be the case; in addition, the conference end-time ensures delegates can comfortably book return flights to other cities and leave the event at leisure. Delegates will reduce time spent away from the office and will enjoy less hasty travel arrangements.
The conference has, too, been designed to ensure delegates enjoy talks, and exhibitions, from a wide array of stakeholders in the healthcare sector. A number of international and local speakers will discuss health policy reform, regulation, clinical care, and hospital management.
Among those who have benefitted from past conferences have been policymakers and regulators at national and regional level, academics, hospital and nursing services managers in the public and private sector, non-governmental organisations, clinical and quality control managers, medical staff, medical device and service suppliers, consumer champions, and healthcare media.
