Dr Melanie Stander is an Emergency Medicine Physician based in Cape Town, South Africa. She is currently the General Manager Clinical Services for Mediclinic Southern Africa.

She oversees Client Experience as part of her portfolio. She has a keen interest in healthcare system development and improvement and in healthcare leadership.

She is a past President of the Emergency Medicine Society of South Africa and a past Vice-President of the International Federation of Emergency Medicine and founded the IFEM Gender Specific Issues Special Interest Group.
