Dr Goyal has worked in the digital health space since 2007, with NHS choose and Book and Nurse led clinic referral management, Dr Goyal currently works with Elsevier on thought leadership and Clinical engagement , Clinical decision support solutions for organisations and regions and countries, working as global CMO

He got international exposure whilst in working in the UAE as a CCIO for the largest private healthcare provider and later worked as Senior vice President Clinical adoption and Engagement with the first and foremost Health information exchange.

With almost 20 years’ experience in Family Medicine, as UK-trained physician, Dr Goyal worked as a partner in various UK practices before joining Mediclinic. Before completing his training in Family Medicine, he trained as higher specialist ophthalmologist.

Dr Goyal was also elected as one of “Future 50 Clinical leaders in Healthcare IT by HIMSS” in 2019. He is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists UK. In 2020, he was appointed as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the Mohamed Bin Rashid University in Dubai, UAE and has co-authored various papers and more recently a chapter in the book titled “Navigating and Managing a Network of Health Information Systems,2nd Edition” https://shop.elsevier.com/books/health-information-exchange/dixon/978-0- 323-90802-3
