Deniro Pillay is a specialist dispute resolution and litigation lawyer. He is a Director of Norton Rose Fulbright South Africa Inc. (NRFSA).
Deniro heads the NRFSA medical law team, which comprises of 28 lawyers based at the firm’s Sandton, Durban and Cape Town offices. This specialist team, which is one of the largest in South Africa, primarily focuses on the defence of medical malpractice claims against private hospital groups, two provincial departments of health and medical practitioners. The team also provides regulatory and insurance advice in the healthcare sector.
Deniro obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2006 and Master of Laws (LLM-Business Law) degree in 2008 from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is an admitted attorney, conveyancer and notary.
