Riedwaan is a thoughtful and socially inspired executive with over 25 years of experience in the health industry. He has a proven history of working within the insurance and health sectors, focusing on the convergence of healthcare systems, technology, and analytics. 

His career began on the funding side, where he spent 15 years at Discovery Health. During this time, he led various divisions, such as risk, service and business intelligence. As a member of the health executive committee, his contributions were valuable in shaping strategic decisions.

Moving to the supply side, Riedwaan co-founded Professional Provider Organisations Services (PPO Serve) and later served as its CEO. PPO Serve stands as a shared service hub for clinicians, aiming to transform healthcare systems for the benefit of patients.

Before joining Life Healthcare, he was Executive Director and Head of Business Development, Analytics, and Experience at Healthforce. This organization pioneers clinic management and telemedicine services, bridging the gap between primary care clinics and specialized medical knowledge.

In September 2020, Riedwaan took on the role of Funder, Policy, and Product Development Executive – SA, and in his current capacity as of August 2021. His ongoing commitment to shaping policies and driving product development underscores his dedication to advancing the healthcare field.
